This single story residence in Hastings is surrounded by mature trees, which form a canopy over the properties roof and gutters. During autumn the leaves find their way into the gutters, quickly blocking the gutters which results in overflowing, even during light rain fall.
Following a sustained period of moderate rainfall in Hastings the property owner contacted us for a gutter cleaning and also for us to check the downpipes, as they had noticed the gutters often over flowed and they where seeing some damp patches appear on their internal ceilings.
This appearance of dampness on ceilings was a sure sign that the gutters where failing to disperse the rainfall effectively, and without cleaning, further ceiling damage would be inevitable.
The box gutters are wide and deep so we used our largest head attachment on the Vacuum system to remove all the debris from the gutters and the roof line. We cleaned 80 metres of gutters and unblocked 6 downpipes, ensuring the gutters where back to full working order.
Finally, we trimmed the branches which where overhanging the roof to prevent further gutter blocking issues from any falling leaves and branches.
